Chapel of St. Philip the Apostle
The chapel dedicated to St. Philip the Apostle is located on the lower (basement) level of the NIKA House on the campus of the University of Illinois. Students are invited to visit the Chapel for prayer and reflection as their schedule allows. Divine Services are celebrated at different times during the academic year. Weekly prayers follow the OCF meetings. Please check the parish calendar for specific liturgical celebrations.
The Feast of St. Philip is celebrated with both evening Great Vespers on Nov. 13 & Orthros/Divine Liturgy on Nov. 14. The Compline is prayed during Great Lent following the Tuesday evening OCF meetings; and the Feast Day of St. Philip is celebrated with both Vespers and Divine Liturgy. During the academic year, members of our OCF may also use the Chapel for informal Bible study, and to meet with Father Michael by appointment for pastoral counsel and/or the Holy Mystery of Confession.
