At Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church

Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church offers Orthodox Christians of Champaign-Urbana three youth groups: Hope Group, Elementary Youth Group, and Teenage Youth Group. Hope Group, which meets on Mondays, is our play group for moms and toddlers, led by Father George. At Hope, toddler parishioners learn about the faith in a simplistic way while socializing with their peers and having fun. There is no fee for this group. The basic weekly schedule is as follows: 9:00 a.m.Gather and play 9:15 a.m. Hear a story about one of the saints 9:20 a.m. Light candles, kiss icons and pray in the church 9:30 a.m.Major motor activity 9:40 a.m.Snack 9:50 a.m.Songs or craft 10:00 a.m.Depart Elementary Youth Groups, which now meet after school every Monday, are for children in grades K-6. There is no fee, but parents are expected to provide snacks. 3:30 p.m. (Sharp) Gather and play 3:45 p.m. Prayers and Bible/Saint story 4:00 p.m. Snack 4:15 p.m. Craft or activity Teenage Youth Group meets every Wednesday night from 7:30 to 8:30. Teenagers of the parish (grades 7-12) are invited to a dynamic ministry offered just for them. The youth group uses an interactive discussion format.
