Beginning Wednesday, January 13th, our parish will offer a Twelve Session Seminar Series entitled, "Introduction to Holy and Great Week in the Eastern Orthodox Church." During the Seminars, we will reflect upon the history, spiritual themes, and liturgical traditions relating to the celebration of Holy Week in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

We will use as our primary source, the book, "Great Week and Pascha in the Greek Orthodox Church," written by Rev. Dr. Alkiviadis Calivas, retired professor of Liturgics of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Theological School. Copies of the book will be available in our parish bookstore.

The Seminars will meet from 7:00pm-8:30pm each Wednesday until the beginning of Great Lent (February 15th). During Great Lent, the series will meet on Monday evening from 7:00pm-8:30pm, and will be preceded by the Service of the Great (Lenten) Compline.
